Summary: Establishes the Accessory Dwelling Unit Promotion and Policy Task Force to study state and local government efforts to promote the creation of accessory dwelling units (ADUs) on land zoned for single-family residential use. Reviews existing laws and policies associated with ADU development throughout Maryland, surveys and documents a representative sampling of ordinances, laws, codes, and policies regarding ADUs at the state and local level.
