Summary: Increases the height limits for ADUs near transit or in multi-story buildings to 18 feet, and to 25 feet for attached ADUs. Introduces objective standards for ADU development, prohibits denying ADU permits due to nonconforming conditions not affecting health and safety, and requires simultaneous permit processing for ADUs and primary residences. Allows junior ADUs within single-family residences with various stipulations, including separate entrances and efficiency kitchens.
